This highly original one-man show weaves Shakespeare’s life and work together whilst also giving a rare and personal insight into Michael Pennington’s own expansive and acclaimed 40-year career.

Drawing on forty years of experience with leading companies and in the West End, Pennington celebrates the rich diversity of Shakespeare’s vision, giving voice to a wealth of characters – young and old; rich and poor; comic and tragic; male and female – and demonstrates the continuing relevance of ‘Sweet William’ to our everyday lives.

Michael Pennington has played a wide variety of roles for the RSC, the National Theatre and the English Shakespeare Company, which he co-founded in 1986 and has toured the world three times.

Follow the sometimes mysterious course of Shakespeare’s life with Pennington as your tour guide as he shares his wealth of experience in this unique show.
