Tom Chambers leads Private Lives to London

Strictly Come Dancing winner Tom Chambers will lead a production of Noël Coward’s Private Lives set to tour the UK before arriving in the West End.

The former Top Hat star will be joined in the enduring comedy by current Tipping The Velvet lead Laura Rogers, Call The Midwife’s Charlotte Ritchie and Richard Teverson.

Last seen in the West End in 2013, in a production starring Toby Stephens and Anna Chancellor, Private Lives is a tale of lost love rekindled. Divorced couple Elyot (Chambers) and Amanda (Rogers) are on their honeymoons with their new spouses. Unfortunately they’re on honeymoon in exactly the same place and soon a spark is rekindled leading to many a heated row and passionate reconciliation.

The production, directed by The Wasp’s Tom Attenborough, will kick off its tour in Woking in January before concluding in Bath later in the spring.

Dates and a venue for the West End transfer are yet to be announced.
