First Published 20 May 2009, Last Updated 20 May 2009

Shout!, the 60s jukebox musical currently playing at the Arts theatre, is to close on 31 May.

The self-proclaimed ‘Grooviest Show In Town’, which stars Su Pollard, Tiffany Graves, Shona White and Marissa Dunlop, opened in London in April, following a successful tour. It had been booking until 28 June.

Directed and choreographed by Laurence Olivier Award-nominee Bill Deamer, Shout! follows the exploits of three northern lasses who move to London at the start of the 60s to try and change their lives. Following their exploits throughout the decade, the show includes songs such as Downtown, Bobby’s Girl, Son Of A Preacher Man, I Only Wanna Be With You, Big Spender, It’s Not Unusual, These Boots Are Made For Walking and the title track to tell its story.

News about the Arts theatre’s next production has not yet been released.
