In rehearsal: Ronan Keating in Once

Published 13 November 2014

In an interview with Official London Theatre last week Ronan Keating told us that the prospect of making his West End debut in hit musical Once made him feel “the most nervous I’ve ever been”.

But, judging by images of the singer in rehearsals, he looks entirely in his comfort zone, guitar in hand, as he prepares to take on the role of Guy in the Olivier Award-winning production.

Perhaps that’s because the touching tale of an Irish busker reflects his own experiences of growing up and establishing a music career in Dublin. Or perhaps his longstanding career in the music industry has stood him in good stead for performing eight shows a week for the next few months.

Either way, just days remain until the recording artist takes to the stage of the Phoenix Theatre. Get a first glimpse by taking a look at our gallery above and be sure to catch Keating before Once closes on 21 March by booking tickets through us here.
