BBC goes behind the scenes with Redgrave and Chicago

First Published 17 April 2008, Last Updated 22 April 2008

A major week-long BBC series on London's Theatreland kicked off this Monday. A Week In The West End is a series of five programmes on BBC Two presented by Claire Sweeney and Alistair Appleton.

Transmission times are from 3.30 to 4.30 each day of the week (apart from today's which begins at 4.00). Each programme looks both on stage and behind the scenes in London’s West End, with consumer advice, gossip, extracts from the shows and interviews with the stars.

Today's progamme includes Claire Sweeney taking us behind the scenes at Chicago, where she has been playing the part of Roxie and meeting the original West End Roxie, Ruthie Henshall. Plus there's a feature on footballers going to theatre and interviews with Danni Minogue, Peter Hall and Vanessa Redgrave. So tune in or set the video!

You can also vote for the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Popular show.
