Jim Steinman’s epic rock musical, Bat Out Of Hell, has enjoyed its time in the West End so much, it’s sticking around a bit longer. The new show that’s been wowing audiences with its monster score and giant special effects is extending its Dominion Theatre run to 5 January 2019.

The post-apocalyptic musical uses the songs from Meatloaf’s record-breaking album of the same name to tell the story of Strat – a young rebel and the ringleader of the wild gang, The Lost. After a chance meeting, Strat falls in love with a tyrannical leader’s daughter, Raven, which leads to a star-crossed love affair. The pair go on a full-throttled journey packed with youthful rebellion, passion and rock and roll.

The show opened to critical and audience praise during its limited run at the London Coliseum last year. Since opening at the Dominion Theatre in April 2018, Bat Out Of Hell has had the crowds utterly pumped with adrenaline at every single performance.

For the stage musical, Jim – the legendary and award-winning songwriter behind Meatloaf’s iconic albums – has incorporated songs from the Bat Out Of Hell albums, including You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That), and Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad, as well as two previously unreleased songs.

Bat Out Of Hell became one of the best-selling albums in history, selling over 50 million copies worldwide. 16 years later, Steinman scored again with Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell.

In April 2018, Bat Out Of Hell announced a wide-ranging global partnership to support the Invictus Games Foundation, the governing body of the Invictus Games, a global sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.

The new booking period will go on sale today at 12pm. Get your tickets to Bat Out Of Hell, here.
